Mr. Brett Bachmann - CEO/Executive Director, USABrett photo
Brett Bachmann is ICOP's Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. Brett works on projects related to Alternative Dispute Resolution, negotiation techniques, and legal reform in post conflict nations. He received a B.A. from the San Diego State University, J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law, and LL.M. from The Strauss Institute of the Pepperdine School of Law. He received his certificate from The Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entrepreneuership and the Law where he ganed the skills needed to represent emerging tehnology and non-profit companies. He studied International and European Union law while living in London, UK, as well as participated in international mediation training programs in The Hague, Netherlands. He is a skilled and practicing mediator who provides conflict resolution training to the various non-profit organizations he represents. Mr. Jared Lawyer - Senior Political Analyst, USA
Jared Lawyer is a Senior Partner at E2i Strategy Group. Prior to his current position Mr. Lawyer was the Business Development Manager at IPOA, an international trade association, where he doubled the revenue and corporate membership in 18 months. Mr. Lawyer served as a business development consultant to Ridgeland Operating, an Oil & Gas Company, and as the Director of Online Operation at SBBCollege. He holds a MA in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara and a BA in International Relations from Fort Lewis College. Mr. Richard Peterson - Director, USA
Richard Peterson is the Director of the Special Education Clinic and Assistant Professor of Law at Pepperdine University. He spent twenty years practicing law as a trial attorney where he frequently served the community as a mediator, arbitrator, and legal representative of developmentally disabled persons victimized by criminal acts or other civil wrongdoings. He has served as an educational consultant conducting workshops in anger management and conflict resolution curriculum for K-12 teachers, administrators, counselors, psychologists, and probation officers in public, private and alternative schools in New York, Delaware, Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Missouri, and California. He was a presenter at the Los Angeles United School District Safe Schools Conference (2002), Mental Health in Schools Conference in Pasadena, California (2001) and provided monthly teacher development workshops on these subjects for the Compton Unified School District during the 2001-02 school year. He was the recipient of the E. Kurt Yeager Servant Leadership Award for outstanding service to people with developmental disabilities at the RCOC Spotlight Awards in 2002. Richard Peterson now focuses his energies on the Special Education Advocacy Clinic where he directs law students providing advocacy and training to parents of children with developmental disabilities who are regional center consumers. He teaches Special Education Law and Disability Law.
