Viking River Cruises hosts fund raiser for ICOP
Viking River Cruises is proud to have partnered with the Louisville Film Arts Institute, in aViking Event charity fund raising event that was held the evening of September 14th 2009 at CBS Studio Center in Los Angeles, California. This event helped raise charitable funds to provide assistance to a variety of worthy charities including International Commission of Peace, Ned Beatty Hope for Children Classic, Louisville Easter Seal Center, Maryhurst school for abused children, Hollywood Cares, and many other organizations whose goals are to enrich the lives of others not as fortunate, and to make a positive impact in communities around the world. Attendees of the event included major contributors of the charity, celebrities and trade media.

Kigali Seminar on Peace and Conflict Resolution
ICOP has developed a week-long conflict resolution seminar at the request of the Dean of the School of Law at the Universite Laique Adventiste De Kigali (UNILAK) and in partnership with two other top law schools in Kigali, Rwanda. Fifty to sixty hand-picked Rwandan students will be trained in the art of negotiation and conflict resolution while being exposed to regional simulations and renowned speakers/trainers.

Seminar: Islamic & Western Approaches to Conflict Transformation and Dialogue
With Ingrid Stellmacher, an ICOP advisor, this London workshop explored both Islamic and Western attitudes towards conflict and understandings of justice. As well as looking at the differences between Islamic and Western approaches to conflict, it reflected on where such approaches meet.

Community Organizing & Practicing Peace: COPP Hours
ICOP is results-driven and guarantees a measurable impact in its endeavors. Utilizing the economic theory of Co-Production, trainees can 'pay' for services through the universal resource of time rather than capital. For each hour of training, a participant will commit to one hour of Community Organizing & Practicing Peace (COPP Hour).

Judicial Reform Seminar in Kigali, Rwanda
ICOP is in the process of developing judicial reform seminars focused on the training of Rwandan judges in the areas of ethics and the rule of law.
